Donald Trump is said to be one of the world’s most progressive men. In his response to the release of Obama’s birth certificate, he said

“I am proud of myself because I’ve accomplished something that nobody else has been able to accomplish. I have just been informed, while on the helicopter, that the president has finally released a birth certificate. I’d want to look at it, but I hope its true, so that we can get on to much more important matters. He should have done it a long time ago. Why he didn’t do it when the clinton’s asked for it, why he didn’t do it when every else asked for it, I don’t know. I am really honored, frankly, to have played such a big role, in hopefully-hopefully getting rid of this issue. Now we have to look at it, we have to see if it’s real, if it’s proper, what’s on it - but I hope it checks out beautifully.”

What’s most frustrating, for me, is how easily people are dismissing that this situation’s core is rooted in a discussion of race and American authenticity, not eligibility. I don’t understand what you guys aren’t seeing. As soon as we say that this is about race, you say that we are being radical or attempting to villainize white people. What are you not seeing? Why are you not seeing what we are seeing?

They’re so talented. So SO SO talented. I want them to STOP talking about raping women so that I can listen and like them. My best friend listens to them all the time and he’ll spit a bar or two of Earl’s and in my head I’m like “yessss/noooo”

Supernova - A Tribute to Daniella Mannino

When a star goes supernova

and its brightness starts to fade

is when we should remember

that its from stardust we are made

Supernovas never see

a calm and peaceful end

they are bold and bright and beautiful

and always on the mend

In our land’s 200th year

50 stars would soar

and in May that year did we know we

were blessed with one star more

She burned with flame and fury

perhaps a little too fast

”..have to keep running, there is no time

for me to be surpassed”

Always guiding, steady and bright

a beacon for all to see

with a laughing voice and loving heart

she made me believe in me

The stars that burn the brightest

have the shortest grasp of time

we are forced to bathe in their afterglow

for this no reason or rhyme

Thru tears and grief and sorrow

and hearts that pound with pain

we take our next steps without you here

sadness profound, an eternal rain

A Supernova has extinguished a star

from the view of our evening skys

it is replaced by the love and warmth

of the stars that were your eyes

When a star goes Supernova

it will not meet its end

all the star was once before

it will be once again
